【摘要】:ThispracticeprovidesamethodbywhichsamplesofGCLmaybeobtainedforlaboratorytesting.Thepracticeappliestomaterialsobtainedeitheratajobsiteorataproductionfacility.GCLsamplesobtainedinaccordancewiththispracticewillbeconsideredrepresentativeoftheactualmanufacturedGCL.ThequantityofGCLreceivedbythelaboratoryshouldbesufficientforthepreparationofseveralrepresentativetestspecimensforavarietyofstandardizedphysical,hydraulic,andmechanicaltestscommonlyperformedonGCLs.TheproceduresinthispracticeshouldbeusedbyplantandfieldpersonnelforobtainingGCLsamplesforlaboratorytesting.1.1Thispracticecoversproceduresforsamplinggeosyntheticclayliners(GCLs)forthepurposeoflaboratorytesting.Theseproceduresaredesignedtoensurethatrepresentativesamplesareobtainedandproperlypackagedforsubmittaltoatestinglaboratory.1.2TheproceduresinthispracticemaybeappliedtosamplesofunhydratedGCLsobtainedattheprojectsiteorattheproductionfacility,priortoshipmenttotheprojectsite.1.3Itisassumedthatthenumberofsamplestobeobtainedhasalreadybeendeterminedintheprojectspecification,standardtestmethod,orbyprioragreementbetweenthepurchaserandseller.Thispracticecoversonlythemethodsforobtainingapre-arrangednumberofsamplesanddoesnotdescribemethodsforobtainingindividualspecimensfromthesample.1.4ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.1.5Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
